Chapter 82 – “Does Zhou Shiyun love you back?”

Su Jinbei wasn’t so willing to return home to the Su estate for no reason. In actuality, she had a magazine shoot scheduled in this city, so even if her family had not asked her to come back, she would’ve come anyway.

Today was the official day of the magazine shoot. He Di drove to the Su residence to pick her up. Because of the confidentiality of Su Jinbei’s identity, He Di would always come alone.

When Su Jinbei was about to set off, Zhou Shiyun and Old Master Su were playing Go in the living room.

“I’ll finish at around six o’clock in the evening~” Su Jinbei especially leaned closer to the two to say this.

Old Master Su looked at the chessboard intently, “OK, go early and return early.”

“I’ll repeat one more time, it’s at six o’clock.”

Zhou Shiyun responded dismissively and looked up at Old Master Su, “Grandpa, you need to be careful.”

Old Master Su frowned and sighed, “I couldn’t win when your Grandpa was alive. I didn’t expect you to be better at chess than your Grandpa.”

Su Jinbei gave the two a glance and tapped her fingers on the chessboard, “Was anyone listening to me?”

“Tsk, this lass, don’t bother us.” Mr. Su said, “Hurry up and go to work, I’ll have Shiyun pick you up once you’re done.”

Su Jinbei raised a brow, “Yo~ Grandpa, indeed, you know me best.”

“Your face says it all.” Old Master Su shook his head helplessly, “Shiyun, ignore her. Let’s continue.”

“Yes, Grandpa.” Zhou Shiyun chuckled.

Su Jinbei, “Baby Zhou, remember to listen to Grandpa and pick me up.”

Zhou Shiyun raised his eyes and looked at her, but the black chess piece held between his index finger and middle finger was accurately placed on the chessboard, “OK.”

Su Jinbei finally headed to where He Di was waiting once she heard his agreement, “Let’s go, He Di.”

In the car.

He Di drove while Su Jinbei sat in the passenger seat.

“Jinbei, you have to do a live stream after the magazine shoot today, I forgot to tell you. But it won’t take long, just forty minutes.”

“Live stream? What live stream?”

“A mobile live stream. You’ve done one last time for that charity event, remember?”

“Oh, so what would be the theme this time.”

“The charity theme that the magazine came up with is ‘Donate Clothes for Love’. When the time comes, you can just share your love for clothes.”

“En, got it. Su Jinbei said, “Then I’ll have to tell Zhou Shiyun later so that he won’t come too early.”

He Di glanced sideways at her, “Jinbei, your relationship with Dr. Zhou’s not bad, huh.”

“Yep, got a problem with that?”

He Di coughed softly, “It’s been several months and you’re still so into him. Those handsome guys in the past, it takes you more or less a month to get over them.”

Su Jinbei was shocked.

He Di said, “I think you’ve actually fallen in love with him.”

Su Jinbei sat speechless for a while.

Love? She wasn’t sure. She only knew that she really liked Zhou Shiyun. She liked him more than she had liked anyone else in the past. She wanted to stay with him. She loved the feeling of her heart beating for him.

Su Jinbei calmed down with much effort and reflected on her current situation. He Di said that her curiosity should be gone by now. Su Yundong also asked her why she was not tired… Yes, she was originally someone with a short attention span. But when it came to Zhou Shiyun, her curiosity and fascination towards him had not dropped. On the contrary, she felt she was becoming more curious and fascinated towards him by the day.

She had actually fallen in love with Zhou Shiyun.

“Speechless?” He Di was over the moon, “It seems it’s true, eh? Gee, our Goddess who’s obsessed with good looks has finally settled down.”

Su Jinbei supported her head, “Isn’t this great? We’ll be together sooner or later anyway.”

“That’s true, yeah, but Jinbei, does Dr. Zhou love you back?”

Su JInbei’s eyes dimmed slightly.

“Of course, it’s not that I don’t believe in your skills. It’s just that I’m curious how someone with Dr. Zhou’s personality would be when he falls in love. Hey, which stage are you guys at? Have you kissed? H-have you done… it?

“We’ve kissed, but it… not yet.”

“Oof, our dearest Miss Su even held back in the face of such beauty.” He Di teased.

Su Jinbei pursed her lips, not laughing along as she usually would and instead just looked out the window quietly. She was contemplating He Di’s previous question.

Does Zhou Shiyun love you back?

To be honest, she didn’t know.

He had a calm temperament, it seemed that nothing could excite him. He didn’t talk much, even his expressions didn’t change much. There’s no way someone like him would show his feelings outwardly, it was useless to expect something.

But Su Jinbei thought again. Maybe he did love her, because there was no other woman beside him who could do the things she could. He allowed her to live openly with him and indulged in her dramatic teasing, or, just like yesterday, returned her kiss warmly and passionately…

She exhaled, a little perplexed, because she found that these indulgences seemed to be on the basis of her status as his fiancee.

He had allowed her to approach him because he had discovered this identity of hers early on. What if she was just someone who had nothing to do with him? Would she then not even be able to take a single step towards him?

Su Jinbei was a little confused by this dilemma. She didn’t know what came first, was Zhou Shiyun in love with her as a person, or had he adapted to her as his fiancee?

She thought the entire car ride. He Di finally drove down to the magazine company’s building. She parked the car and said, “Here we are, let’s go to the dressing room first. The studio is ready.”

Su Jinbei regained her composure. Forget it, there was no use in her thinking about these. Even if he didn’t love her now, was there any way she wouldn’t make him fall in love with her in the future?
