Chapter 1366: Healer Spirit Beast

“I don’t know if it could tame it, but it can definitely overpower it! Meaning that as long as we have this dog on our side, the monster will leave us alone,” Elder Yu said, telling him stuff that only people in hidden houses would know. This made him felt quite accomplished.

“Thanks for the info,” Lin Yi said faintly. He had to admit, this guy may be annoying, but he had told him some useful stuff- yes, the guy wasn’t completely useless after all. If he only wanted one qi gathering pill and the notes, he would let him live, Lin Yi thought.

“Hmph, just something any hidden house member would be aware of,” Elder Yu said proudly- he wanted the feeling of accomplishment.

The beast growled.

Weiwu moved in, however, walking towards the beast and giving two barks, as if communicating with it.

The monster became quiet after the barks, and the rage in its eyes dissipated. it turned into one of admiration, although it still looked bitter because of Elder Yu’s damage to it.

It may be a spirit beast with thick skin, but Elder Yu was still an Earth class- he couldn’t just shrug this off. It must have suffered internal damage if his muderous intent towards Elder Yu was to this degree.

“Woof woof…”

“Roar…”

“Woof…”

“Rawr…”

The two animals seemed to be talking, but Lin Yi had no idea what the content was. Weiwu understood him, but he didn’t understand Weiwu, let alone the beast.

Suddenly, Weiwu put out its paw and put it on the beast- the beast seemed to be tense, but its face changed into one in comfort a while later.

“Healer Spirit Beast!” Elder Yu said as he realized that the spirit beast was being healed. Of course, the damage was caused by Elder Yu. A greedy looked appeared in his eyes- these healer beasts were an extreme rarity, they could heal humans or other beasts! Of course, this was directly related to how high their level was. The higher the level, the bigger injuries they could heal! A high tier could even heal a fatal wound to a human!!

Weiwu was only a Mystic, but it was possible for it to become Sky class one day! It was easier for beasts to level up compared to humans after all, and Elder Yu wondered what his rewards would be if he brought this animal home.

He even regretted telling Lin Yi so much stuff about the beast- if he were to just take it home without telling him anything it’d be easier, but now that he was aware, he couldn’t just take it from him!

“Healer beast?” Lin Yi’s eyes seemed confused- heal my ass, the stuff inside Weiwu was an all-purpose qi, his qi- that could heal anybody. How was he a healer beast, Weiwu can attack too, okay?

But he didn’t bother explaining all that to him- it seemed like Weiwu had come to some terms with the beast anyway, otherwise it wouldn’t be healing him on his own like that.

A while later, the beast started moaning.

It seemed to be filled with more strength and energy, and all the wounds were gone! This made Elder Yu’s breathing grow rapid- this was a full powered earth class hit! How was it healed so easily?

Although the hit hadn’t been too fatal on the beast, the fact that Weiwu healed it so easily proved how good his healing was!

Elder Yu looked at Weiwu, wondering how he could bring it home to the hidden house. Even if he didn’t get the pill or notes, as long as he had this dog, it would be enough.

Weiwu was able to understand Lin Yi’s words- it knew why he came to this tomb this time and what he wanted, and he knew that this spirit beast wanted to protect the coffin and the dead. As long as Weiwu told him that they wouldn’t touch the coffin, the beast wouldn’t stop them.

Plus, it healed the beast, too.

“Woof woof!” Weiwu turned back to Lin Yi.

Lin Yi nodded, and guessed more or less what he meant. He walked over with Lingshan, Yutian, and Xiaoke behind him as they headed into the tunnel.

But Elder Yu and Old Hei had yet to completely recoverfrom the shock- they didn’t dare move forward, not until the others passed through safely.

But just because Lin Yi was fine didn’t mean that Elder Yu would be. Just as Elder Yu passed, the beast suddenly exploded into a roar!

“Ah-!!” Elder Yu jumped and backed off, hitting the stone wall behind him and hitting his head. The beast was still so powerful after getting damaged- didn’t that mean he was even stronger now?

But the beast left him alone after scaring Elder Yu and just sat there- evidently, it just wanted to scare him for revenge! With the deal Weiwu made with him, the beast wouldn’t hurt Elder Yu- but he didn’t want this to end just like that.

Elder Yu was blushing and embarrassed by what happened, “Haha, this beast is quite smart, joking around with me!”

Of course, what Elder Yu said wasn’t funny in the slightest, and Lin Yi and the others didn’t care enough to bother with him.

When Old Hei passed, the beast didn’t even look at him- it didn’t even recognize his existence. Although, this sense of getting looked down on by the monster made Old Hei quite uncomfortable.

Without the beast blocking them, everything was a breeze, and Lin Yi’s jade stayed silent as well. Elder Yu’s explanation about the beasts, however, made Lin Yi think- Weiwu wasn’t a spirit beast, but he was a man-made one.
