Chapter 751: Xu Jiamu’s Decision(11)

Translator: Kingbao Editor: DarkGem

A couple days ago when Xu Jiamu appeared in by Song Xiangsi’s home, it was clear to her that they would never have a happy ending. She had given him seven years of her youth, the most beautiful years of her life had been dedicated to him, and she wasn’t about to let herself waste anymore of her time. But despite how rational she was, when he held onto her tightly, the tears streaming onto her neck, she felt a hard to explain helplessness. When he weakly pleaded for her to accompany him for a while, just a little while, all her logic collapsed, surrendering to him once more.

She wasn’t sure if this time, their relationship would end in bliss or tragedy.

But it was clear that she still cared about him.

Song Xiangsi pushed open the door lightly. Xu Jiamu was sitting on the sofa, staring at his phone intently, seemingly in a daze. In front of him was a stack of papers.

He seemed to have sensed her presence, reaching towards the paper in front of him, he stuffed it into his pocket before turning around to look at her wordlessly.

Song Xiangsi sat beside him, glancing at his phone screen – Qiao Anhao’s weibo was there, a bunch of insults in the comment section of her post.

“Stop looking at those, you can’t trust whatever is on the internet.”

Xu Jiamu remained silent, nodding his head lightly. He tossed his phone to the side of the coffee table before slouching on the back of the sofa.

He had removed his jacket, and was only wearing a simple blue shirt. He had rolled the sleeves up high to his elbow since the temperature on in the room was a little high. Song Xiangsi glanced over, spotting an alarming bruise on his arm. She frowned, instantly reaching over to grab his arm. “What’s this? How did you get bruised so badly? Have you seen a doctor?”

Xu Jiamu took a sharp intake of breath when she touched his wound, and she hurriedly loosened her grip.

With a shaky voice, he explained, “I’m fine, I was just hit by a video camera, I don’t need to see a doctor.”

“It looks serious, the area is dark purple, isn’t that bad enough?” she lamented. Standing, she headed to a cabinet to grab a first aid kit before sitting beside him once more. “Let me apply some medicine.”

Xu Jiamu allowed her to tend to his wound. “Hmm.”

As she applied medicine, she couldn’t help nagging, “But if you got hit by a camera, why didn’t you get compensation from him?

“Xu Jiamu, if it gets worst tomorrow, you must go to the hospital. What if your bone got hurt?”

“Video cameras are so heavy, they shouldn’t use it if they can’t carry them! This is such a dangerous world, you should be glad that it hit your arm and not your head, if might have caused a concussion!”

Xu Jiamu froze at the last part of her sentence.

“What’s wrong? Does it hurt? I’ll try to be softer, endure a little more…”

“Xiangsi,” he called out in a solemn tone.

“Hmm?” In a loud voice, she added, “What’s wrong?”

“Qiao Qiao and my brother… What’s the worst outcome for them?”
