Chapter 41: A Small Touch on Ye Fan’s Nose (1)

On this day, Ye Fan was going outside. She and Cheng Ping had already agreed on the time when she could come to Cheng Ping’s house to teach her daughter to play the piano.

Ye fan had already gone to Cheng Ping’s house several times. Her daughter’s name was Yan Xiaoxiao, and she was just about eight years old. Yan Xiaoxiao kept begging Cheng Ping to let her learn how to play the piano, so that was why Cheng Ping would ask Ye Fan to visit her home to teach her.

When Ye Fan headed to her door, Dudu followed behind as well. He didn’t make a single sound, but he knew Ye Fan was going to go out.

Dudu was quiet and did not make any noise.

Ye Fan put on her shoes and found Dudu standing right behind her. She crouched down and said, “Mama will be back in two hours, okay?”

Since Ye Fan went out often, she taught Dudu how to read the clock.

Dudu was very smart and learned after being taught the first time.

Dudu’s voice was soft and sticky. “Okay.”

Ye Fan was worried that Dudu would be unhappy so she sat down and played with him for a little before handing him over to Dudu and heading out.

Since “Lurking in the Bund” had been doing really well, Ye Fan herself had gotten slightly popular from it as well.

Her character in the show was very well-discussed as well, so some of Ye Fan’s fans would recognize her whenever she went out. To counter that, Ye Fan put on glasses whenever she went out, so now people wouldn’t generally realize who she is.

Ye Fan only took off her mask after reaching Cheng Ping’s home, and she pressed on the doorbell.

“Big sis is here!” Xiaoxiao called out happily. Nobody would play with Xiaoxiao at home, but Ye Fan was very patient with her, so she liked this piano teacher very much.

Ye Fan leaned down to rub her head and said, “Xiaoxiao is very pretty today.”

Xiaoxiao smiled with her eyes curving into crescents. “Big sis is pretty too.” She cocked her head to the side, saying, “As good-looking as my cousin.”

When she saw how young Xiaoxiao was, she thought that the cousin she mentioned would be around the same age as her.

But in fact, Cheng Ping was already a little on the older end when she had Xiaoxiao, so her cousin, He Han, was a dozen years older than her.

Ye Fan only needed to teach Xiaoxiao how to play for forty minutes. Kids at eight usually couldn’t focus on one thing for too long.

When Cheng Ping came out from the kitchen, she saw that Ye Fan was just about to leave. “Why don’t you stay for dinner?”

Smiling, Ye Fan shook her head. “No, thank you. I still have someone waiting for me at home.”

Ye Fan had told Cheng Ping in the past that she was a small-time actress, so she could only teach for short periods of time.

Cheng Ping knew that her daughter was at a fickle age still, so for her to stick so long with this was already outside of her expectations.

But Cheng Ping did not insist on keeping her here either. “I’ve been following that show you’re in.” Cheng Ping had originally followed the show for He Han, but she didn’t expect to see Ye Fan in it as well.

“Your acting is very good.”

Ye Fan was a little embarrassed. “I’m still learning. I’m not as good as you say.”

After saying goodbye to Cheng Ping, Ye Fan immediately began heading for home. Before going out, she told Dudu that she would come home earlier. Since she promised Dudu, she wouldn’t go back on her word.

Ye Fan went out of the house and quickened her steps, wanting to reach home as soon as possible.

A black car happened to drive over. He Han was driving. He just happened to have some business here today.

He Han had both hands on the steering wheel and his expression was slightly cold as usual.

When Ye Fan walked past He Han’s car, he suddenly paused.
