The fan meeting was over, so the reporters were all waiting at the entrance for the stars to come out. Perhaps because she did not wish to see Ye Fan, Tang Jin had left early.

Ye Fan was still backstage and was just about to change back to her clothes before heading home.

But before she could reach the dressing room, a deep voice suddenly emerged from behind her. “Ye Fan.”

Her feet stopped. Turning around, she looked at the source of the voice.

He Han was standing there, his figure tall and aloof as usual.

He had a calm expression that did not show his emotions, and yet it seemed like there was a layer of frost covering it.

And those dark eyes of his were so deep that one could not easily see into them.

A few strands of black hair dangled at the sides of her face, curving up slightly. Ye Fan’s skin was fair like snow with a perfectly formed face, the image of it vaguely looming underneath the dim lights.

He Han’s eyes darkened, and the frostiness in his eyes dissipated a little. “This dress suits you well.” He looked at her for a while, then looked away.

He lowered his gaze faintly and rubbed his fingers together. But the range of motion was so small that it was hardly detectable.

Few people knew that this dress was chosen by He Han, and he had concealed this from everyone, including Ye Fan.

Ye Fan thought that He Han was just making a simple greeting.

Her thoughts were very simple. The two of them are partners in cooperation, nothing more.

Ye Fan’s lips curved into a smile. “Thank you.”

This is their first time talking since the show came out.

Besides being too nervous during the final kiss scene, she had practically nothing to say to He Han anytime else on the set.

He Han saw Ye Fan’s face at the corner of his eyes.

She was looking up at him with her fair, slender neck visible. The curve of her smile was beautiful.

He Han’s eyes were deep and unclear as he leaned on the wall. A clear voice could be heard, “You performed really well tonight.”

You could not pick out any emotion from his tone. It sounded like he was just giving pointers to a newcomer who had just made their debut.

But Ye Fan had no ideas about He Han’s character. He was a very distant person that did not interact much with people within the circle, much less someone whom he had worked with only once.

He Han and Ye Fan were standing right in the corridor, and the agent, Dai Jinshan had come over before they could say much.

Dai Jinshan greeted He Han. “He Han.”

He Han smiled lightly and acknowledged his greeting.

“Ye Fan, you look like you get along well with He Han.” Dai Jinshan tried to give them a little push. “Why don’t you exchange numbers?”

Even though the agent was the one who said all this, it sounded like it was Ye Fan’s idea.

Ye Fan was just about to refuse him, but after some hesitation and thought, she said, “I think…” There’s no need for that.

He Han noticed the look in her eyes. He narrowed his eyes faintly, and his eyes were deep.

Ye Fan’s words were interrupted.

At this moment, a cold voice broke out. “Sure.”

Ye Fan was stunned. Then, she raised her head to look at He Han.

He Han glanced over at her.

As the two of them looked at each other, their eyes happened to meet. Right then, the air seemed to turn quiet.

He Han’s eyes were very deep. While staring at Ye Fan, he slowly read out a string of numbers.

Ye Fan moved her gaze away breaking her eye contact with He Han. Then, she took out her phone and noted down his number.

He Han’s lips hooked up, and a soft chuckle that could hardly be heard suddenly emerged.

He was not a man with many words. Without saying anything, he turned to leave.

These days, Ye Fan’s workload had been rather light.

After leaving Huarui’s offices, Ye Fan quickly got into her car.

After Ye Fan signed with Huarui, the company assigned her an assistant and a driver. Both of these people knew of the situation in Ye Fan’s home, but they were tight-lipped.

Ye Fan had not seen Dudu for almost half a day, so she gave Nanny Li a call as soon as she got in the car. Without having to wait for long, the call was picked up.

Ye Fan missed Dudu very much. “Aunt Li, how is Dudu doing?”

Nanny Li and Dudu seemed to not be at home. She could hear some noise coming from their end of the call. Nanny Li said, “I brought Dudu out to play. We’re at the supermarket right now.”

The supermarket they were at was not close to Ye Fan’s house. Nanny Li must have brought Dudu a bit further than usual to play.

Ye Fan said, “I’ll be there very soon, you can just wait for me at the supermarket.” Nanny Li’s voice seemed to be a little tired. She must have been out with Dudu the whole day.

After hanging up the call, Ye Fan said to the driver, “You can stop in front of the supermarket.”
