Chapter 82: Turning of Public Opinion (1)

Once the time limit was over, Ye Fan, Tang Jin, and Gu Yachen returned to the house.

When Li Qiong saw Ye Fan, she immediately came up to ask, “Is there anything I can help with?”

Ye Fan told her that she would come to her for help if she ever failed to earn any money. Though Ye Fan never came back, Li Qiong kept it in her mind the whole time.

Ye Fan smiled. “Don’t worry, we managed to earn the money.”

Li Qiong was visibly relaxed. Just as she was about to speak, Gu Yachen came over and interrupted them.

Li Qiong was not very happy about that, but she didn’t express it on her face.

Gu Yachen looked at Ye Fan and her tone was a little strange. “Ye Fan, so I heard you can play the violin?”

When she thought about how she would hear people discussing about Ye Fan the whole way back, she felt a little jealous.

Ye Fan responded calmly, “Yeah, I learned a bit.”

Gu Yachen glanced at Tang Jin and suddenly said, “Ye Fan, you were playing the violin while Tang Jin was singing.”

“It’s such a strange coincidence.”

It sounded like she was trying to imply that the two of them employed similar ways to earn money, but she was really trying to say that Ye Fan just had to play the violin when the two were competing and snatched away Tang Jin’s thunder.

Gu Yachen clearly knew that Ye Fan used to be Tang Jin’s stand-in, but she deliberately said that to make Tang Jin hate Ye Fan even more. She was trying to stir up a dispute between them.

If Tang Jin got angry, then she would have even more opportunities in the future to curry favor with her.

As soon as Tang Jin heard that, her face turned impatient just as expected.

Ye Fan was very clear that Gu Yachen was trying to provoke them, but there’s no way she would get dragged in by her.

Ye Fan glanced calmly at her and said in a steady voice, “It’s not actually that much of a coincidence.”

“One of us sang while the other played the violin. One played at the front of the street, and one at the back. We were earning money differently, and in different places too.”

Ye Fan spoke in a very light tone, “If you had to find a similarity between them, you could say that we were both making money on our own.”

With just a simple sentence, she broke off her relationship with Tang Jin.

Gu Yachen was left speechless, but this made Tang Jin recall how Gu Yachen didn’t do anything to help at all when they were earning money, and she sneered in her heart.

As they were still livestreaming, another burst of comments appeared.

“Gu Yachen usually looks so pure, so why does she seem so petty now when compared to Ye Fan?”

“In the past, some posts pointed out that Gu Yachen was very scheming when she was in school. Now, it looks like the rumors are true.”

“Let’s move on from that and guess who made more money instead. I’m guessing Ye Fan. There were clearly more people there when she was playing the violin.”

“There’s a huge possibility that Tang Jin would win too. Didn’t you see that most of them were at Tang Jin’s side at the beginning?”

The audience in the livestream was actively discussing which team would win. Half of them stood on Ye Fan’s side and the other half on Tang Jin’s.

At this moment, the director spoke. “Now, put your money on the table and we’ll see which team earned more money.”

Both Ye Fan and Tang Jin stepped forward and put their money on the table. Then, they stepped to the side.

Ye Fan’s expression was very calm.

She was very clear that the crew would definitely stand on Tang Jin’s side. The very reason they adopted the live broadcast method was because they knew that Tang Jin would definitely earn more money than her.

And with that, they hoped to achieve their goal of stepping on her while pushing Tang Jin up.

And not only did she lose the money under the schemes of the crew, she wouldn’t be able to make as much money as Tang Jin. With that comparison, they tried to leave the audience a bad impression of her since the show began.
