Daily Life of a Villain’s Mother - Chapter 94
Chapter 94: Please Give Ye Fan Justice! (1)
When the assistant director saw He Han, he immediately rushed over to them.
He looked at Ye Fan and said, “He Han is playing the role of Chen Yuan.”
“The director is waiting inside the other room. You’ll be performing with He Han during the audition.”
This was a last minute decision made by the assistant director.
When He Han wasn’t available before, the scenes they handed out for the auditions were all played by one person, but the acting was all subpar.
Now that he was here to trade lines with her, perhaps she’d do better than the others.
After hearing the words of the assistant director, He Han’s expression was still faint. He didn’t give much of a reaction, and also didn’t raise a complaint against the suggestion.
Ye Fan was stunned.
“I have the script for one person though.”
Thankfully, the assistant who was just sent away came back with a new script.
The assistant director handed the script to Ye Fan.
“Swap it out for this one.”
After a moment, Ye Fan and He Han began trading their lines.
Very quickly, everyone who was watching became emotional, immersed in their acting.
……
Night time, inside the cell.
Yao Guang leaned up against the icy cold walls, but she sat up straight without any signs of nervousness.
The sound of footsteps could be heard, not too rushed nor slow, coming from afar.
Yao Guang looked over.
The first thing she saw was a pair of black brocade boots. Going upwards, then the black robe, stitched with dark embroidery patterns.
In the midst of the pitch-black night, the moonlight pierced into the prison. The bright light illuminated the man’s face.
Upon further inspection, you would see that the face was cold and distant, overlapping with the face inside one’s memories.
She raised her head, her gaze following the tall and cold man.
Yao Guang’s eyes flashed briefly. She opened her lips and quietly said his name.
“Shen Yuan.”
In the silent space, the girl’s voice clearly rang out.
“Or perhaps, I should be calling you Minister Shen now.”
Shen Yuan squinted at her, looming over this girl who was locked inside a prison cell.
This a dark cell, with nothing but shadows to be seen in all directions. Yet, Yao Guang appeared to be just as elegant and noble as always.
Shen Yuan’s eyes were as black as midnight.
He opened his mouth and said her name.
“Yao Guang.”
She watched him, remembering all of their past, her expression calm.
“It’s been a while, congratulations for successfully controlling the court.”
Before, he was a hostage of Ling country, and she was the princess of Qi.
Now, he was the high standing Minister Shen, and she had become a prisoner.
Shen Yuan’s eyes remained on her, his eyes not giving away his thoughts.
“The destruction of Qi was not my intention.”
She quietly watched Shen Yuan, her voice floating and light.
“You and I are enemies. That is the reality.”
Shen Yuan and Yao Guang stared silently at one another, the silence in the air becoming more noticeable than before.
Not long after, he spoke.
He, who had always been cold, now showed a sliver of warmth in his expression.
His voice rang throughout the silent prison cell, breaking through the icy cold space itself.
“Yao Guang, I’ll take you with me.”
Yao Guang was startled by his words, breaking the peace, and finally revealing an expression of shock.
Seeing her expression, Shen Yuan couldn’t help but gently smile.
He repeated himself, using the same words, sounding more certain and persistent.
“Yao Guang, I’ll take you with me.”
……
The air hung in the quiet room for a moment. Ye Fan was a new actress, while He Han was an experienced cinema king.
With He Han in front, Ye Fan somehow didn’t appear timid and was able to smoothly act out the script.
There was nothing needed to say about his acting, but for Ye Fan to be able to act so well was out of everyone else’s expectations.
While they were trading lines, everyone watching didn’t feel like they were the audience watching a scene from an audition.
They, just like the actors, had entered the long winding road, seemingly without an end.
Following this road, they had finally reached the very end.
