Chapter 7: A Decision

In a cramped rental house with no lights on, Liu Yanbo sat in the darkest corner, on the edge of the curtains. The air was filled with a strong smell of smoke and alcohol.

When he received Han Feiyan’s text message, the last little hope left in Liu Yanbo’s heart faded away, but he still didn’t give up. He drove behind the Ferrari and watched as Han Feiyan and the young man walked into a hotel hugging and kissing. At that moment, he was in complete despair.

After seeing Yin Hanruo home, Liu Yanbo returned to his rented house and sat there for two hours, drinking wine and smoking cigarettes.

For Liu Yanbo, those two hours seemed as long as a century. In those hours, he went from feeling anger to sadness, then to despair, and finally, numbness.
