Chapter 76 – Missing Su Jinbei 

The next day, Su Jinbei set off early in the morning with Wutong. Zhou Shiyun went out the door together with her, only, they were heading in different directions. The reason he couldn’t accompany her today was truly because he was very busy, the several surgeries he had today were all important operations. 

Zhou Shiyun returned to his office after he was done with all his surgeries, and Lin Qingwei poured him a cup of coffee. 

“Senior Brother, have some coffee.” 

Zhou Shiyun replied with an ‘en’ while changing out of his coat. 

“Senior Brother, you’re going home?” 

“Correct.” 

Lin Qingwei smiled faintly, “Senior Brother, tell me honestly, are you living with Su Jinbei?”
 

Zhou Shiyun paused, turned his head to look at him, “Who told you.” 

Lin Qingwei said proudly, “I knew from the Weibo she posted before. The photo seems to have been taken at your home. I went there once, remember? I think I’ve seen that section of the house.” 

Zhou Shiyun could not deny it. 

Lin Qingwei was even more excited when his suspicions were confirmed, “The way you two are dating is really secretive~ Huh, wait, Senior Brother, you said before that your relationship with her started over twenty years ago. What kind of relationship was that, childhood sweethearts? But, why didn’t you seem to know each other at first? “ 

Zhou Shiyun drank a few sips of coffee, then returned the empty glass to him, “Get out.” 

“Can’t you tell me a little bit more,” Lin Qingwei grimaced, “Oh, right, why didn’t you let her come to the hospital to visit, I haven’t seen her for a long time.”

And, also, you’ve never been out in public together with her before, so our colleagues here at the hospital all thought it couldn’t have been you. “ 

Zhou Shiyun, “They can think whatever they want.” 

“Whatever? That won’t do! Your girlfriend is a big celebrity and is also a beauty, at that. Shouldn’t you be staking claim?!” 

Lin Qingwei’s whole face was anxious, and Zhou Shiyun’s footsteps slightly staggered, “Why?”

But what Lin Qingwei said wasn’t unreasonable. 

Zhou Shiyun remembered the man with those undisguised eyes that day… Sigh, Su Jinbei this woman was too beautiful, he shouldn’t be complacent. 

Zhou Shiyun, whose thoughts had been messed up by Lin Qingwei, returned home. 

At the moment, the house was dead silent, unlike the ruckus that ensued while she was present. This silence going on now was one he was used to, but now… he felt a slight discomfort. 

He walked into the closet, it was already in a mess again after the hurricane that was Su Jinbei this morning. But he was not impatient, instead there was a touch of softness in his eyes. 

Zhou Shiyun stepped forward and helped her arrange everything back in place. After he finished, he sat in the dining room and ate a bit of the dinner he brought back. Looking at the beef on the dinner plate, Zhou Shiyun thought about whether Su Jinbei had eaten tonight. Without him watching, did she eat some random weight loss meal again? 

“Buzz…” The cell phone next to him vibrated. Zhou Shiyun picked it up, “Hello.” 

“Zhou Shiyun.” Su Jinbei’s voice came in from the receiver. 

“En.” Zhou Shiyun seemed to hear some weakness in her voice. He frowned and asked, “What’s wrong.” 

Su Jinbei was leaning on the corridor of the hospital at the moment. She looked at the red light on top of the doors of the operating room and her voice quivered a little. “I went home for dinner today, but something bad happened.” 

Zhou Shiyun listened patiently, Su Jinbei continued, “There was suddenly a problem with my brother’s heart again. He’s now in the operating room, I have no idea how he’ll fare. I’ve been waiting here for a long time, I feel uneasy. I thought, since you’re a doctor, I might find some comfort in talking to you.” 

Zhou Shiyun, “His heart?” 

“En, Jianan has had a heart problem since childhood, our family has been taking good care of him, this time… Grandpa made him agitated, and he fainted when we were eating today.”

“Are you going to be in the hospital for a long time today.”
