Sheng Qianmo felt that Shu Nuan’s current appearance was quite lovely. He extended his hand and pinched the tip of her chin.

“Do you have any wishes to make?”

Her lower lip slightly trembled as she hesitated, but she still confirmed,

“Can I?”

Sheng Qianmo looked deep into her eyes.

“Yes.”

“Now?”

Sheng Qianmo was looking closely at her. Shu Nuan couldn’t help but get more nervous, and her lovely face turned rosy.

He intended to prepare in advance.

Shu Nuan’s lashes trembled slightly, and she opened her eyes to look pitifully towards him. She heard his light voice, but could not discern any emotion from it. So, Shu Nuan could not tell whether he was angry. She simply heard him say, “You go outside. I will rest now.”

Shu Nuan did not ask a why or what. She nodded, and Sheng Qianmo pushed himself up with his arms. He unhurriedly got out of bed, not forgetting to close the door of the bedchamber after Shu Nuan went out.

On the day of the Beiguo Lantern Festival, several palace maids brought Shu Nuan new clothes, explaining that they were from the Prince.

Since she was going out with Sheng Qianmo, she had to dress well. Therefore, Shu Nuan obediently chose a dress to change into.

After Shu Nuan had changed her clothes, she headed out of the room. But unexpectedly she happened upon Sheng Qianmo, who was coming back from the palace. She bowed her head slightly in a salute.

Sheng Qianmo looked at Shu Nuan, her appearance more delicate and exquisite after having changed into a yellow dress. Perhaps she was afraid of showing the “Slave” mark on her neck, but she had worn a thin yellow and white scarf around it. The yellow and white was lined with her black hair running down her chest. In a word, she looked lovely.

“Come here,” said Sheng Qianmo from outside the door.

Shu Nuan went over with her head still lowered.

“Give me your hand.”

Shu Nuan was clueless of his intentions as she extended a hand toward him.

Shen Qianmo had removed the shackle on her hand.

Shu Nuan was stunned.

Her eyes fell on Sheng Qianmo, who was still holding her hand. His hands were large, his fingers slender and strong. Warmth flowed from his hands to hers.

Shu Nuan gently blinked her eyes, unable to help but look up. For the first time, she found the courage to look straight into his eyes. However, she had forgotten that she couldn’t simply look straight at a person of such status. Only after looking at him for a while did she come back to her senses, and quickly tried to lower her head again. But Sheng Qianmo held her face in place by her chin. He looked at her eyes, and his eyes focused on the tear mole.

“It looks… good.”

Shu Nuan responded noncommittally in a low voice. She didn’t know where to look at the moment, so she just anxiously turned away.

Fortunately, Sheng Qianmo quickly released her, and he took her out of Sheng Courtyard.
