Petite Mother of Four Big Shots - Chapter 22.3 - I Want To Marry Her (3)
Chapter 22: I Want To Marry Her (3)
After thinking of something, Gu Yizhou frowned. “You haven’t told me: how did you meet Lu Wenchen? What did he do to you?”
“You haven’t told me: how did you meet Lu Wenchen? What did he do to you?”
After saying this, the high fever, meningitis, and malnutrition quickly slipped into Gu Yizhou’s mind, and his eyes became much colder.
Gu Yuanyuan hadn’t had time to speak yet because she noticed a shadow coming toward them. This man was originally in the courtyard, but when he saw them in the room, he rushed over with surprise on his face.
To be exact, he had a shocked expression toward Gu Yuanyuan.
Gu Yuanyuan saw him running like crazy.
Gu Yizhou also saw it, and the mother and the child looked at each other. Gu Yizhou’s look was a little complicated. Perhaps he didn’t realize how there were men everywhere who knew his mother.
“I don’t know him.” Gu Yuanyuan instantly understood the meaning of her son hitting his eyes. Her voice fell, and an even more excited one sounded—
“Yuanyuan!”
Gu Yuanyuan didn’t say anything.
She turned back silently, looking at the panting young man with messy hair, and put on a face of “who are you?”
The man was in his twenties with good facial features, a high nose, and bright eyes. His handsome face was now, however, mixed with anxiety, surprise, disbelief, excitement, and other emotions, which made him look rather distorted.
The man rushed over excitedly, his eyes red. “Yuanyuan, what’s wrong with you? Why are you here?”
Gu Yuanyuan became baffled.
Even more puzzling was that when the man finished speaking, he walked over to hug her.
Gu Yuanyuan: “‽‽‽”
She didn’t run away because she knew Erbao would stop him.
Sure enough, Gu Yizhou’s eyes became cold. He pulled Gu Yuanyuan behind him and looked straight at the man. “Please excuse yourself.”
The man was stunned, and he did not mind Gu Yizhou’s presence. He said dejectedly, “Yuanyuan, you don’t want to see me?”
His voice was full of emotions, making it very uncomfortable for people to listen to. He felt as if she didn’t answer his words — that she was cold and ruthless.
Gu Yuanyuan sighed and peeked her head out from behind Gu Yizhou. She said helplessly, “Uncle, who are you?”
Hearing the word “Uncle” caused the corners of Gu Yizhou’s mouth to rise involuntarily.
The man opposite didn’t look much older than him.
Yet, his mother had called the man “uncle.”
Gu Yizhou: “…”
The man was also stunned, and he said in a lower voice, “I know you hate me, but I was…”
There was a sudden sound of footsteps at the door, followed by Shu Ran appearing.
“I knew you were here, Xiao Yuanyuan. You are too insincere, you… second brother, why are you here?”
Gu Yuanyuan: “???”
She appeared even more shocked from behind Gu Yizhou.
What the hell! The man opposite her was Shu Ran’s second brother? Did she have an affair with him‽
Gu Yuanyuan was out of her mind.
She remembered what Zhu Ya said when she had her dress fitting in Zhu Ya’s shop: Shu Ran had two older brothers. The eldest brother, Shu Ang, had already started a family and seemed to be the Shu family’s next successor.
The second brother, Shu Ming, had a fiancée and had been away from home for many years, but he and Shu Ran were different. Shu Ran entered the entertainment industry, and he did not return home for many years because of filming.
Shu Ming liked to wander outside and do what he wanted. He didn’t have a serious job, but he hadn’t spent any money from the family.
Gu Yuanyuan never thought that she would actually be in a relationship with Shu Ming.
Since this was a drama “NPC”, why couldn’t she come up with the story plot in her mind? She didn’t know anything and looked confused. What was going on‽
“I… Grandpa’s birthday, I’ll come back and see.” Shu Ming switched his gaze back and forth, facing Shu Ran. Soon, he calmed down, but he still kept looking at Gu Yuanyuan.
Gu Yuanyuan: “…”
“I thought you couldn’t come back.” Shu Ran frowned. “Did you come in through the front door?”
Shu Ming’s coat was wrinkled and dirty, and he didn’t appear as though he had entered through the front door. He answered honestly. “I met Brother Yun on the road, so I got a ride home from him and entered through the back door.”
Shu Ran: “…”
He knew that his second brother was not very reliable but for him to return home and climb over the wall instead of entering through the front door… Where did he learn this habit?
