Chapter 33: She’s Different, I Like Her! (2)

He seemed very well-behaved.

Only then did Gu Yuanyuan notice that the boy looked about the same age as her, his face was that of a teenager, his hair was a little long, but not gloomy, instead it made him look more than a little more pretty and delicate as a teenager.

Instantly it struck Gu Yuanyuan and her motherly instinct activated, then she looked again at the boy with “This poor little guy” eyes.

After ordering takeout and seeing that the boy didn’t have any intention of changing it, Gu Yuanyuan had to bring him with her to Gu Yizhou’s office and asked him in passing, “What’s your name? How old are you?”

The boy tilted his head and thought for a moment and said, “Qian Xian, I don’t know how old I am.”

Gu Yuanyuan said: “… you don’t even know how big you are?”

“Do I have to know it?” Qian Xian righteously replied.

Gu Yuanyuan was speechless, at this moment she finally felt what that something was wrong, this young man called Qian Xian didn’t seem to be right in his mind.

Gu Yuanyuan changed her line of questioning. “What about your parents?”

“Nope.” Qian Xian curiously looked around Gu Yizhou’s office, but he was very sensible and did nothing, Gu Yuanyuan poured him a glass of water and he drank it all in one gulp.

For the first time, Gu Yuanyuan found it a little difficult to communicate with someone: “What does that mean?”

Could it be that he’s running away from home?

Qian Xian said straightforwardly, “Dead.”

Gu Yuanyuan: “…….”

She should be sympathetic, but looking at the boy’s expression, the sympathy just couldn’t be born.

Qian Xian didn’t care in the slightest about his words, then he asked in a puzzled tone, “Why did you save that big guy? He had a death wish, and you saved him, didn’t you harm him by doing so?”

Gu Yuanyuan asked him back, “You think it’s good that he’s dead?”

Qian Xian nodded flatly. “I heard everything those people said, since he is desperate for death, what’s wrong with that? It’s his own choice.”

Gu Yuanyuan simply blinked her eyes in incredulity. Not wanting to argue with a half-decent teenager about desperate attempts to die, she said, “First, with regard to life, if there is a man trying to commit suicide by jumping off a building right under my nose, and since I am witnessing it, I cannot be indifferent, and the at least I can do is stop it with stern righteousness.

“Second, if I don’t do my best to stop it, the results of the driver jumping from the fifth-floor range between serious injury and immediate death. And the surgeon who’s doing his best to save the victim in the emergency room is none other than my son, and if the driver is seriously injured, I don’t want the burden to fall on him. After one surgery, he would be tired and it’s too late to even take a break and have the next surgery to get a chance to pull somebody else’s life back.”

“Finally, young man, do you know how many people have tried to kill themselves on an impulse? People who commit suicide can’t think too much about the proceedings, and even if they regret it later on, it’ll be too late. We onlookers, no matter what the other side has been through, we can pull one hand in. We only live once, once it’s gone, can we get it back? It’s unknown whether it can be repeated or not.”

Gu Yuanyuan gave a lesson to the teenager with a smile.

Even though Gu Yuanyuan had transmigrated many times, she never despised “life”, and she would never treat it as a game. She enjoyed being alive, and only when she was alive could she feel the beauty of life.

Qian Xian didn’t say a word, confusion appeared in his eyes, eventually, he lowered his head and continued to drink the water.

It didn’t take long for Gu Yizhou to come back, and after seeing Qian Xian in the office, his eyebrows twisted, and he looked at his mother disapprovingly. His expression seemed to be saying: ”How can she bring a stranger to the office”.

Gu Yuanyuan had to drag her Erbao to the side and explain. “This kid seems to have a problem here.”

She pointed to the head.

Gu Yizhou didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but when he was about to say something, the takeout arrived, and Qian Xian very unceremoniously started eating in the office, without any desire to leave.

His table manners were surprisingly refined; he ate quickly, but elegantly as if he had been specially trained in dining etiquette. Gu Yizhou too seemed to feel it, when he looked at Gu Yuanyuan she simply shrugged.

At that time, she was really randomly looking for something to throw that could stop the man… She was just doing it under that circumstance, and the ‘something’ that caught her eye was the lunch box in Qian Xian’s hand.
