Chapter 1755: Grandfather’s Voice

As Wang Qianjin listened to Yun Bixue’s cold and infuriated words, he felt neither angry nor anxious. Instead, he slowly comforted, “Yun Bixue, you shouldn’t be so angry at me nor suspect me. When have I ever hurt you before?”

“Wang Qianjin, cut the nonsense. You’ve already provoked me the moment you took my grandfather away.”

As she spoke, she slammed her hand against the table beside her. Her palm turned red from the impact, and the items on the table shook too.

It created a loud noise, and even Wang Qianjin could hear it through the phone.

“It’s not good for you to feel angry so easily.”

Yun Bixue answered icily, “Wang Qianjin, you called me just to say all these? Just tell me what you want.”

Wang Qianjin replied, “Yun Bixue, I might have my own ulterior motives in the past. However, after your grandfather is with me, I realized something. Therefore, I won’t hurt anyone, including you and your grandfather. Remember what I just said.”

Wang Qianjin’s voice sounded gentle yet stern.

Yun Bixue chuckled. Clenching her jaw, she said, “Wang Qianjin, do you think I’ll believe you? You’re really good with your words, aren’t you? Did you say you won’t hurt me? When you approached me in the past, did you not have a motive too? You took my grandfather away, and now you’re telling me that you won’t hurt me? Do you think I’m stupid? Wang Qianjin, don’t think that you can have it your way.”

“Don’t be angry. It’s not good for your health. Shall I let Grandfather speak to you instead?”

Yun Bixue was so livid that she threw the pen lying on the table. “He’s my grandfather, not yours!”

Wang Qianjin shrugged his shoulders and passed the phone to Old Master Yun.

“Nuan Nuan!”

Yun Bixue had just been feeling infuriated, but after hearing that voice, her anger immediately quelled. Tears began to roll down her cheeks uncontrollably.

Yun Bixue choked, breathing hard to stop her tears from flowing.

“Bixue, it’s me. Don’t blame Xiaojin and don’t get angry at him.”

Yun Bixue couldn’t stop her tears anymore as she cried, “Grandfather!”

“Yes, it’s me. Don’t cry… Please don’t cry… Bixue, you’re the strongest girl I know. Don’t cry…” Knowing that his granddaughter was crying, Old Master Yun felt anxious.

Hearing Grandfather’s voice again felt wonderful to Yun Bixue. She was so relieved that she couldn’t even speak a single word.

After her grandfather left, she had been holding her emotions back. No matter how matter she felt deep down, there were still traces of pain. She missed him and blamed herself for not protecting him well.

Hearing his voice out of a sudden, her emotions overwhelmed her and she couldn’t herself any longer.

She knew she shouldn’t cry but she couldn’t help it.

“Grandfather, are you okay? It’s all my fault. I didn’t protect you.”

“I’m fine. Don’t be so upset. Xiaojin saved me, so you shouldn’t blame him too. He’s a nice person, and I’m feeling well…”

Yun Bixue wiped her tears away and tried to clear her head. She asked, “Grandfather, why hadn’t you wrote to me after being with him for so long? He might not have mistreated you, but I think he’s trying to take advantage of you!”

Old Master Yun sighed. “It’s a long story, and you won’t be able to understand it easily.”

“If you’re really fine, nothing else matters. He didn’t threaten you, did he?”

“You should be able to discern if my words are true or not. You ought to know that Xiaojin will not hurt both of us. Do you understand?”
