“President Chen, do you think this elevator is haunted?”

One of them mustered enough courage to say those words, hoping that their boss would propose a change in elevators.

Chen Shu did not expect his employees to have such thoughts. He glanced at the elevator. His eyes were calm, unlike the others sharing the elevator with him, who were all very scared by then.

Calmly reaching out his hand, Chen Shu pressed the ‘close’ button and the doors slowly closed, mercilessly shattering the other men’s expectations.

“There are no ghosts in this world. Don’t frighten yourself for nothing.” Chen Shu did not speak further. Unknown to them, the ancient ghost was right outside. Upon hearing those words, she felt very uncomfortable.

Wang Chuan stared at the elevator buttons in silence. After opening the doors on all floors, they had finally arrived on the 20th floor.

However, Ye Sui and Fangirl Ghost’s elevator had arrived before them.

Ye Sui had good luck. As soon as she stepped out of the elevator, she happened to see Qin Xin walking toward the conference room. “Madam Qin.”

“It’s you.” Qin Xin frowned.

Ye Sui had already communed with Wei Xuan. Now she had to find a way to convince Qin Xin that she was telling the truth. “When Wei Wei was eight years old, she played with a lighter and burned your favorite piece of clothing. But you didn’t punish her for it. Do you remember?”

Only Qin Xin and Wei Xuan knew about that situation. That dress had been bought by Qin Xin’s deceased father and she had treasured it very much. However, when Wei Wei burned it, Qin Xin didn’t blame her, she just gave her a lecture. She even kept this a secret between them, never letting her husband know.

Qin Xin was stunned that Ye Sui knew about it. Her eyes turned red and her body started shaking uncontrollably. “Come with me to the office.” Instead of heading to the conference room, she walked away in the opposite direction with Ye Sui following her.

The assistant saw Qin Xin’s actions and felt that something was strange. She immediately tried to stop her. “Deputy General Manager, President Chen of the Huarui Group is coming soon.”

“Please explain to them that something very urgent came up and I will come in person to apologize next time.” While Qin Xin spoke, her emotions were quickly going out of control. The assistant wasn’t blind. Seeing her boss like this, she acquiesced.

Once they arrived at the office and the door was securely closed, Qin Xin turned around and faced Ye Sui again. “Last time, you said you could see her… Is she here now?” It took her a long time to finish the sentence.

Ye Sui nodded. “She came with me, she has something to tell you.”

Qin Xin’s legs lost their strength and she fell on the sofa, but she quickly straightened up again. “Is she by your side?”

Considering that Qin Xin couldn’t see Wei Xuan, she could only scan the room wildly. Ye Sui turned her head to look at the Fangirl Ghost, who was next to her. “Do you have something to say to your mother?”

When she spoke, Qin Xin immediately focused on where Ye Sui’s head was turned, her line of sight firmly focused on the area beside her. She couldn’t see how embarrassed Fangirl Ghost was at that moment. The ghost fiddled with her fingers, not knowing how to say it.

The ghost spoke a lot, with Ye Sui transmitting her words to Qin Xin one at a time.

When Qin Xin heard the first sentence, tears started falling silently. By the end of her daughter’s final words, she was bawling uncontrollably. “Mom never blamed you! I just regret not cherishing the time I had with you… I wish I hadn’t neglected you because of work..”

Standing up, she moved toward Ye Sui’s side, trying to somehow touch Wei Xuan one last time.

Ye Sui handed her a paper towel to dry her tears. “She going now. She seems relieved.” Wei Wei’s body was gradually becoming transparent. She hugged Qin Xin or attempted to since they couldn’t touch. Her mother wouldn’t feel it, but she was satisfied anyway.

With a smile, Wei Xuan waved at Ye Sui and… disappeared into thin air.

Ye Sui looked at Qin Xin, who was barely containing her emotions and sighed. “Wei Wei just hugged you, and now she is gone.”

For a moment, Qin Xin felt a bit cold. In the next moment, her body temperature went back to normal, and she knew her daughter had completely disappeared.

“One last thing. Wei Wei told me something before she left. Underneath her bed, there’s a dress in a box. It was made by her hand for you. Although it’s not very good, she hoped to make up for the one she burned.”

Wei Xuan took a long time to figure out how to make clothing when she was eight years old. She did it all behind her mother’s back.

Hearing this, Qin Xin’s tears started flowing again. Ye Sui had to get a cup of water to calm her down. She didn’t say much else, knowing that no matter how much comfort she offered, it wouldn’t be enough to alleviate Qin Xin’s feelings.

Ye Sui turned and left quietly, closing the office door while keeping her feelings bottled up.
