Chapter 77 : Ye Sui’s Feelings (3) 

Ye Sui: “It was just like lifting a finger.” 

After Ye Sui and Chen Shu left, Chen Xin spoke into the invisible air. Although he could not see his wife, as long as she could hear him, he was satisfied. 

Because Lu Youfu had offended Chen Shu, Fuguang Films had disappeared. Wang Chuan wanted to tell Ye Sui this matter, but Chen Shu directly refused. 

The night was just right. The street light spilled into the car, illuminating Chen Shu’s side face with a clear outline and deep facial features. His gaze had turned gentle again, each trait perfectly merging together. 

Chen Shu turned the steering wheel and said, “Keep your mouth shut.” 

“President…” Wang Chuan, on the phone, was puzzled. “Why can’t I tell Ye Sui directly?”
 

“Ye Sui is not yet aware of my relationship with Huarui.” Chen Shu paused and added another sentence, “Don’t let her know for now.” 

Chen Shu would find an opportunity to tell Ye Sui in the future. He did not want her to know about it through the mouth of others. 

Wang Chuan froze. He finally understood the strange matters from earlier. Back when Ye Sui had arrived at Huarui, their president didn’t want to meet and avoided her. In the elevator, Ye Sui also had no idea that Wang Chuan was Chen Shu’s colleague… 

“Okay, I’ll make sure to keep this a secret for you.” Wang Chuan, as his loyal friends, agreed. 

After hanging up, Chen Shu called Ye Sui while driving. 

Ye Sui, who had finished her work, received a call from Chen Shu. “Is it over?” 

Ye Sui smiled and said, “A while ago. I have already come out of the shopping mall.”
 

They had agreed to go to dinner tonight, so Ye Sui asked her team to leave first. In order not to be discovered with Chen Shu, she had disguised herself tightly. 

She changed her coat when she came out, and even the smartest paparazzi could not recognize her. 

In late autumn, the wind was cold, which hurt her face. Ye Sui pulled her scarf and covered her face, but she didn’t feel cold. 

Chen Shu: “I will be there soon. Wait for me a little longer.” 

“It’s okay, don’t drive too fast, and pay attention to safety—” Ye Sui hadn’t finished speaking yet when she suddenly heard a loud noise from the other side. 

It seemed as if two cars had collided with a violent impact. Through the phone, the harsh sound seemed to penetrate her eardrum.

Ye Sui’s brain froze, and she dialed back Chen Shu’s number instinctively. Her hands began to tremble, and she dialed an incorrect number. 

Ye Sui repeatedly called Chen Shu’s cell phone, but only the cold female voice sounded. “The number you dialed has been turned off…” 

Ye Sui put the phone in her pocket and accelerated her pace, running towards Chen Shu. Her feet are still wearing high heels, and every step on the ground was filled with anxiety and suffering. 

In the surroundings, there were voices of others saying, “There seems to be an accident ahead.” 

The more Ye Sui ran in Chen Shu’s direction, the denser the crowd became. The scarf had slipped from her neck; the lips under her mask had turned pale; and the hat on her head was nearly squeezed out. 

The onlookers all left in droves. Only Ye Sui moved against the crowd, towards Chen Shu. 

Ye Sui could strongly feel that her heartbeat was getting faster and faster, and the thunderous booms reached her ears. This frenzied heartbeat was different from dopamine produced after eating sweets and increased heartbeat after exercise. It came with an overwhelming fear that clutched her body. 

Ye Sui was nervous because she was worried about Chen Shu. 

At this moment, Ye Sui had no time to think about those complicated issues. Was Chen Shu just a family member to her? Were her feelings towards Chen Shu merely a desire for protection? 

Besides these, what did does Chen Shu really mean to her… 

Ye Sui’s pace increased to a jog. She didn’t care whether someone would recognize her, nor about her image as a celebrity running on the street in such a hurry.
