Chapter 5: All Experts Always Have a Bad Temper (1)
After the last morning class ended, Shen Wanying packed up her things and went to Huo Cheng’s seat with this meal card.
She had already made an appointment with the Archery Club President. First, she would take Huo Cheng to meet him in the club activity room to meet him before they went to the canteen for lunch.
Huo Cheng followed Shen Wanying out of the classroom, looking at her walking in front of him.
The uniform of the first private school in City A wasn’t like the public school’s sportswear. It was a British-style uniform, in which the boys wore blazers and trousers, while the girls wore blazers and skirts. The school also made a serious consideration to the school uniform style. So, the girl’s skirt wasn’t a short skirt, rather a pleated long skirt over the knee. On the contrary, this kind of skirt was really suitable for Shen Wanying’s temperament, as it emphasized her excellent student aura at one glance.
The color of the school uniform was also very eye-catching. It was the noble red wine color that Shen Wanying liked. The description of “noble red wine” was given by Shen Wanying when she went shopping with Huo Cheng once.
She was very fond of red color. Apart from the standard red, wine red was also one of her favorites.
Huo Cheng was thinking of this when Shen Wanying who was walking in the front suddenly stopped and looked back at him, “Huo Cheng, what is wrong with you?”
“Nothing.” Huo Cheng stepped up a little and walked out of the teaching building with Shen Wanying side by side.
A lot of students were looking at them all the way. Their expressions were hard to conceal and they whispered excitedly. Huo Cheng listened to the commotion around him and said to Shen Wanying, “You seemed to be very popular.”
Shen Wanying smiled sheepishly and said, “Haha, don’t exaggerate. They are mainly looking at you.”
Huo Cheng: “What’s so good about me?”
“…” You look extremely good. “Further ahead is our club activity room.” Shen Wanying changed the subject and led Huo Cheng to the club activity room. It was time for lunch. There was no one else in the activity room except the president. Shen Wanying walked with Huo Cheng and introduced him, “This is the president of our archery club. He has learned archery since he was a child. He has won several awards on behalf of our school.”
While she spoke, Tian Yu kept looking at Huo Cheng whom she brought. After listening to Shen Wanying’s introduction, Huo Cheng didn’t respond but nodded a little. Tian Yu smiled at Huo Cheng and asked Shen Wanying in a low voice, “Miss, please tell me honestly. Is this handsome boy your boyfriend?”
The smile on Shen Wanying’s face became rigid for a moment. “No, you’re wrong. Huo Cheng is the new classmate in our class. We became acquainted only this morning.”
“That’s not good.” Tian Yu glanced at Huo Cheng again and spoke to Shen Wanying in a low voice, “If he isn’t your boyfriend, he isn’t beneficial for the archery club, you know?”
Shen Wanying: “…”
She didn’t know.
Huo Cheng had been watching Tian Yu whispering to Shen Wanying. His face showed no expression, but strangely Tian Yu felt the air around him getting colder and colder. Eventually, he extended his hand to Huo Cheng and formally said hello to him, “Hello, I’m Tian Yu, the president of this archery club, the same grade as you.”
“Hello.”
Tian Yu looked at his own hand hanging there and soon retracted it. He always thought the handshake was perfunctory. Then, he opened his mouth and asked Huo Cheng with a smile, “I heard that you want to join the archery club? Do you know anything about archery?”
Huo Cheng thought about it and said, “I know everything you know.”
Tian Yu: “…” T-this, he understands human language, right? Really, a handsome guy like him is so hateful!
“So, you’ve learned archery before?” Tian Yu took the traditional bow and arrow and gave it to Huo Cheng. Then he said, “Let’s not talk nonsense. You can prove it to me now.”
Huo Cheng looked at the bow and arrow in Tian Yu’s hand and took it. Tian Yu stepped back. He touched his chin and spoke to Shen Wanying, “Looking at his bow-drawing posture, he must have practiced it twice.”
Shen Wanying didn’t speak but looked at Huo Cheng, who was focused on the target. He took off his blazer because it was in his way and was wearing only his uniform shirt on his body.
