“You cook.” He Yu answered.

Looking over the door at the kitchen, Su Qiuzi remembered that she had volunteered herself to cook for He Yu in the morning. She hesitantly asked.

“Is it okay to cook… Noodles?”

He Yu looked at her with a chuckle, shook his head and said, “I’ll do it.”

With no ingredients at home, Su Qiuzi and He Yu went to the supermarket. After buying the ingredients and returning home, He Yu began to wash the vegetables. Su Qiuzi felt that even standing still was not an option, so she also helped.

The green vegetables in He Yu’s hands were all cleaned; however, at the same time, the radish in Su Qiuzi’s hands was not yet peeled. Finally, He Yu looked at the already pitted radish in her hand and reached out to take it saying, “Let me do it.”

When the radish was taken by He Yu, he plucked off the root, peeled the skin and cleaned it three times. He was neat and tidy in everything he did, and his movements looked soft, but they were sharp and decisive, with a gentle, yet powerful sensation.

After cleaning the radish, he turned on the faucet and rinsed them again, grabbed a knife, and started to chop the vegetables. The knife was held in his hand and it cut thin and well proportioned slices of the radish, which gently fell on the chopping board.

The charms of men could be very mystical. Sometimes it was the looks, sometimes it was the taste, and sometimes it was the feeling they gave. Right now, He Yu was just chopping vegetables, but the feeling he gave Su Qiuzi was that with him, all difficulties would be solved.

Su Qiuzi was lost in thought. He Yu sensed her gaze and looked at her sideways, the corners of his lips slightly raised. Su Qiuzi looked at him with a smile and asked, “Is everything you do always this good?”

He was more than twenty centimeters taller than her, and yet Su Qiuzi still had to tilt her head when he looked down at her. She raised her head and looked into his eyes, her heartbeat paused slightly, then Su Qiuzi smiled and gave a couple of compliments.

“It was fine and dandy.”

He Yu smiled faintly and turned around to finish cooking the dishes.

For this lunch, He Yu made three dishes, all of which were home-cooked and tasted very good. After eating, Su Qiuzi took the initiative to clear the table and put the dishes in the dishwasher. Then, she was ready to go to the pottery house.

Just as she was about to leave, He Yu called her from upstairs. He had changed into a suit and coat, and gave off a majestic look. He finished tying his tie as he walked down the stairs and said, “Well… It happens to be in the same direction, so let me give you a lift.”

Naturally, going with a private car was better than squeezing into the subway, so Su Qiuzi simply nodded in agreement.
