The next second, the light in Su Qiuzi’s eyes shattered again. 

The call was made by Su Gongcheng, who was very warm to He Yu, his son-in-law, after the cooperation between the He Group and the Shuncheng Group began. But He Yu declined his invitation and, on that same evening, he took Su Qiuzi to Miao Hualing’s house. 

It was evident that Su Qiuzi was happy during the journey to Miao Hualing’s house. 

After becoming Miao Hualing’s daughter-in-law, Su Qiuzi felt Miao Hualing become more delicate, inspiring greater intimacy and tenderness. She would call her sometimes to check on her and give her some help with her life. Su Qiuzi was immersed in the motherly love that she had never felt before in Miao Hualing. 

Just after they arrived at Miao Hualing’s house, Su Qiuzi took the initiative and went into the kitchen to help. Miao Hualing smiled as she watched her cleaning her hands and asked, “Do you know how to wrap dumplings?” 

Su Qiuzi shook her head meekly. 

Miao Hualing didn’t mind either, smiling tenderly and saying, “Then I’ll teach you.”
 

Su Qiuzi, being introduced to dumpling wrapping for the first time, was very clumsy, but Miao Hualing taught her patiently. After Su Qiuzi gradually got the hang of it and wrapped the first ugly dumpling, Miao Hualing laughed and complimented it. 

Su Qiuzi blushed a little at the compliment, feeling her heart warm up as if she had been bathed in warm sunshine. Miao Hualing had really fulfilled all her fantasies about having a mother. 

“How are you doing at work these days?” After Su Qiuzi started wrapping dumplings by herself, Miao Hualing had time to inquire about her recent situation. 

Su Qiuzi put the filling into the dumpling skin and squeezed it a little, she smiled coyly and said, “I did a live broadcast of the New Year event yesterday.” 

“I saw it, and it was great.” Miao Hualing smiled and encouraged, “With your current ability, staying on the TV station is more than enough. Even if it’s still a little rudimentary, things always grow slowly and I believe in your ability when it comes to learning.” 

When it came to the topic of staying in the TV station, Su Qiuzi responded with a smile on the surface, but in reality, she didn’t have a solution about the recent problem in her heart. 

Miao Hualing quickly sensed this and asked, “Difficulty at work?”

On New Year’s Day, even though school was on vacation, it didn’t stop Junyin’s piano lessons. She had just returned from the piano classroom when she saw He Yu, who stood in front of the car waiting for her. 

She rushed over happily and her long hair bounced in a lively manner. When she reached the rear of the car, the corner of her eyes curved and she called out, “Brother!” 

With a low chuckle, He Yu raised his hand and rubbed her head, saying, “Let’s go.” 

The two siblings had always had a good relationship. As a child, Lian Junyin especially liked to cling to He Yu. 

However, as the years went by, He Yu got busy with his studies and work, so the opportunities for the two to meet were diminishing. Whenever they had time to meet, Lian Junyin would be even happier after seeing his brother.
