Chapter 63: Bond With Mother-In-Law (3) 

Lian Junyin got into the car, smiling and chatting with He Yu, “I’m going to tell them tomorrow, that nice handsome man is my brother, he’s married, and my sister-in-law is especially beautiful and lovely.” 

While quietly driving the car and listening to Lian Junyin’s words, He Yu smiled lightly. 

After many days of not seeing each other, Lian Junyin talked to him about the recent events and her troubles. The most common problems for teenage girls at the age of 15 or 16 were that their teachers were tackling too much homework, they had to take their final exams before they had finished their studies, and they had to take tutoring classes during the winter break. 

After Lian Junyin finished speaking with a sad face, she told He Yu, “Brother, after my final exam in the middle of this month, let’s go riding.” 

He Yu doted on her very much, and he was always available to answer her requests. And today, after parking the car in the parking space, the man flatly refused. 

“I’m going to take your sister-in-law out for a trip.”

Once Lian Junyin entered the door, she saw Su Qiuzi, who was sitting there, with a dumpling skin in her hand and some flour smeared on her face. The words that she was about to say seemed to be stuck in her throat, then she looked nervously at He Yu, who was behind her. 

“What’s wrong?” Miao Hualing, who had experienced many “quarrels” between the two siblings, was rolling the dumpling skin in a slow and orderly manner and asked with a smile. 

Looking at Su Qiuzi, Lian Junyin suddenly snapped back to her senses, the corners of her lips curved. She hummed and laughed, mysteriously saying to Su Qiuzi, “Secret.” 

After she finished speaking, the young girl left the kitchen, as nimble as a rabbit. He Yu who was behind her only smiled faintly as Su Qiuzi watched him enter and asked, “Is everything alright?” 

He Yu took a paper towel and wiped the flour off her face, smiling lightly and saying, “It’s fine.”
 

Lian Junyin was indeed fine and had already chatted and laughed with He Yu during dinner in the evening. Growing up surrounded by affection, the girl was forever carefree, giggling when she was happy and frowning when she was not. No pretense, frankly sincere and lovely. 

The night was happily spent at Miao Hualing’s house on the first day of the year and, by the time Su Qiuzi and He Yu returned home, it was already 9:00 pm. After returning to their normal calm from the excitement, Su Qiuzi was still a bit uncomfortable. The two took off their coats and hung them on the rack as He Yu asked Su Qiuzi, “Do you want some water?” 

He was wearing a brown coat and a black turtleneck sweater today. He founded the EV Architect company and now he was gradually taking over the He Group. His years in the workplace had given him a sense of elitism, even when casually dressing. 

Su Qiuzi remembered Miao Hualing’s suggestion, she nodded and said, ” Yeah.” 

He Yu went to the kitchen and Su Qiuzi went in with him. Seeing her come in, He Yu glanced sideways and smiled quietly, poured a cup of warm water, and handed it over. 

The temperature of the warm water was transmitted through the ceramic cup, and Su Qiuzi held the cup, hesitating on how to speak. After pouring water for himself, He Yu leaned his body against the marble stone table of the kitchen and asked, “Something on your mind?” 

He took the initiative to ask about it, and Su Qiuzi blinked. She nodded her head in an instant, “Uh, it’s something about the TV station.” 

She rarely spoke to him about her work so He Yu was slightly surprised, but he was smiling as he said, “Tell me about it.” 

Su Qiuzi then told He Yu about the matter. He listened attentively throughout, seemingly familiar with this kind of underlying issues, as his expression did not change in the slightest. After Su Qiuzi finished, he asked, “Do you want me to analyze it from your perspective, or from that girl’s perspective?” 

It was her concern, so Su Qiuzi said, “Let’s do it from my point of view.” 

“There’s a one-third chance you can stay.” He replied. 

“Huh?” Su Qiuzi didn’t understand. 

Putting the cup down, He Yu added, “In this competition, since the girl offered her body to the leader, then she is more passive. Her every move is controlled by the leader. In the coming semester, if she doesn’t continue to attract the leader’s attention, then the leader will naturally choose the superior you from the station’s own interests in the future.”
