Daily Life of a Villain’s Mother - Chapter 103
Chapter 103: He Han Stands Up For Ye Fan (3)
The goldfish swam back and forth inside the bucket.
The girl was holding onto her mother’s hand, the two having just left the Flower and Bird store. She had bought some things and was just getting ready to go home.
Ye Fan explained to him, “They’re goldfishes. You can raise them at home.”
Du Du didn’t reply, but he continuously stared at the young girl who was holding the bucket of goldfish.
His round eyes were filled with wonder and curiosity.
Ye Fan suddenly had an idea. She stopped walking, and squatted in front of him.
“Do you want one?”
Du Du bit on his fingers, tilting his head.
“Could I raise them?”
Ye Fan patted Du Du’s head.
“Why don’t you look at them first, and then make your decision?”
Ye Fan felt that letting Du Du raise a pet was a good idea. He could spend his days watching the goldfish, helping his emotional growth.
Besides, goldfish were easy to raise. As long as they weren’t overfed, goldfish could live for a long time.
When Du Du heard Ye Fan’s words, he broke out in a smile, clapping his hands in excitement.
He kicked his small foot, wanting to climb out of the small stroller.
Ye Fan, not knowing how to deal with Du Du, reluctantly let him out from the stroller.
As Ye Fan pushed the stroller forward, he obediently held onto Ye Fan’s clothes and followed closely by her side.
“I won’t run around.”
“Then you must remember to follow closely,” Ye Fan said with a laugh.
Du Du nodded his head, his eyes went towards the Flower and Bird market’s direction, too excited to look away.
Ye Fan made sure he was by her side as she headed towards the market.
When they walked in, the shops on both sides were full of small animals.
Parrots, turtles, hamsters, and all kinds of flowers and plants were available.
Du Du’s eyes could not stop wandering. He looked over here, then there, his eyes deep with wonder.
There were so many things, he could barely process all of it.
“Mommy, where are the goldfish?” he tugged on Ye Fan’s clothes, as she pointed to the street ahead.
Du Du was joyous, his round eyes squinting from his wide smile.
Ye Fan, being dragged by him, walked towards the shop that sold goldfish.
The floor was covered in water tanks. Inside them were filled with goldfish of all colors swimming around.
Du Du’s legs moved fast, as he squatted in front of a fish tank and looked at the goldfish in excitement.
Du Du put his hand on his chin, stretching his face, looking like he was deep in thought.
With so many beautiful goldfish, which one should he pick?
Ye Fan found his excitement to be hilarious, as she squatted down next to him.
She was curious about what Du Du was thinking.
“Du Du, what are you thinking?”
He pointed at one of the goldfish in the mix.
“I don’t know if I should pick this goldfish, or the other one.”
Then he pointed to another goldfish next to it.
Ye Fan looked at the two, not seeing any differences between them.
“What’s the difference?”
Du Du’s eyes widened, staring at Ye Fan in shock.
He warm heartedly pulled Ye Fan over, doing his best to explain the difference to her.
“This one has a pattern, while this reddish goldfish has a black spot on its head.”
After hearing Du Du’s explanation, Ye Fan looked closer again, realizing that there was indeed a difference between the two.
It seemed that he was much more observant than she was.
Du Du sweetly asked, “Mommy, which one do you think is better?”
“Buying one will make it lonely. Perhaps buying two would provide them each with a friend,” she said.
In the end, Ye Fan made up her mind. “Let’s buy both.”
Du Du was filled with happiness, his face red and gushing with joy. His big eyes were as big as grapes.
“Can Du Du promise to raise them well?” Ye Fan asked.
He frantically nodded, “Of course of course! Du Du will take care of the goldfish every day!”
An old lady who was selling goldfish saw the mother and son’s interactions, laughing out loud.
This child was too cute.
