Chapter 104: He Han Stands Up For Ye Fan (4)

Ye Fan wanted to help him better communicate with others, so she let Du Du speak with the store owner.

“Why don’t you ask that granny to help you fish them out?

Du Du looked towards the store owner, softly asking, “Granny, could you help me fish out some goldfish?”

“Mommy’s taught you this before. What else do you have to say?” she added.

He quickly opened his mouth again. “Please, granny.”

The goldfish seller saw Du Du, reminding her of her own grandson, as her face was filled with warmth.

“Which one do you one, child?”

“Do you still remember which ones they were?” Ye Fan asked Du Du.

“I remember. It’s Xiao Pang and Dian Dian*,” he stated with certainty.

Tn*: Something along the lines of Little Fat and Spots.

Ye Fan was shocked. They had not even bought the goldfish yet, but Du Du had already come up with names.

Du Du’s hand went to point to the goldfish, as he squatted on the ground, next to the shop owner.

“Granny, please don’t catch the wrong ones.”

Du Du carefully pointed to them, scared that he would point to the wrong ones himself.

The shop owner fished up the goldfish, placing them inside a plastic bag as she filled it with water.

Du Du carefully took the bag from the granny, as he slowed his movements, holding onto the bottom.

Ye Fan didn’t help him. Since he was the one to buy the fish, then he must take responsibility for them.

Whether it was feeding them or changing the water, she would let him complete these tasks himself.

Du Du was still small. She wanted his sense of responsibility to grow well.

“Mommy, let’s go home. I want to put Xiao Pang and Dian Dian in the fish tank.”

Du Du rushed Ye Fan as she paid, pushing the stroller with him home.

Once they were home, she instructed him on how he should place the fish inside their tanks.

Now that he had the goldfish, Du Du didn’t want to do anything else. He sat next to the fish tank all day, just watching the fish.

Whenever the goldfish wagged their tail, Du Du would give a cry of surprise.

When it was time to sleep, Du Du still didn’t want to leave.

Ye Fan pinched his cheeks.

“You have to say goodnight to the goldfish now, and then go to sleep. If you sleep earlier, then you can wake up earlier to watch them.”

He reluctantly said farewell to the goldfish in his sweet and soft voice.

Du Du waved towards the goldfish.

“Good night, Xiao Pang and Dian Dian. Wait for me, I’ll come see you tomorrow.”

Du Du looked back every few steps, as he was taken to his room by Ye Fan.

……

The broadcasting and television building.

The directors and producers at the core of “Let’s Go Traveling” were holding a meeting.

Producer Han was very angry.

“Did you collect money from Tang Jin’s team?” he asked Director Bai.

The director didn’t reply. Him receiving money from Tang Jin’s team was supposed to be kept a secret. From the start, he didn’t worry about Ye Fan very much. She was just a small star, what kind of wave could she start online?

He never expected the situation to reach this point.

Director Bai’s silence only made Producer Han angrier.

“We wrote out the stage directions. We let the guests follow the process. The rest was for them to play out by themselves.” Producer Han said, “Did you think the audience would let the program’s crew fool them?”
