Chapter 111: Sir, Are you Trying to Steal Du Du? (1)
Ye Fan froze for a moment.
After studying Du Du’s face for a moment, she realized that he was unhappy.
“Du Du, wait just a little longer alright?” she asked softly.
Although Du Du was unhappy, he still obediently nodded.
She turned around, turning to Yan Xiao Xiao.
“Xiao Xiao, practice that part that I just explained to you a bit.”
“Alright, Ms. Ye.” She listened well to her directions.
Ye Fan picked up Du Du, walking to another side where no one else was in a quiet corner.
Ye Fan put him down, crouching down and looking into his eyes.
“Du Du, tell mommy, what’s wrong?”
Du Du watched Ye Fan. His eyes started to droop.
He blew his nose, as his voice became small and troubled.
“Mommy’s been stolen by someone else.”
Ye Fan never thought it would be for this reason.
She was so focused on teaching Yan Xiao Xiao piano, she had forgotten to speak to him.
Du Du was more sensitive than other kids, so he never felt secure.
Ye Fan softly apologized.
“I’m sorry, it was mommy’s fault.”
Ye Fan held his shoulder, softly saying, “Mommy was focused on teaching little sister, and ignored Du Du. Can Du Du forgive mommy?”
Du Du pouted, insisting to her, “Mommy wasn’t in the wrong. Mommy’s too nice, so everyone likes mommy.”
Ye Fan rubbed Du Du’s soft cheeks, feeling like her heart was about to melt to the adorable child as well.
His body was wrapped by Ye Fan once again, as his warm body was pressed against Ye Fan’s.
“I like mommy the most,” he whispered.
Ye Fan picked up Du Du, continuing.
“Mommy’s just teaching the little sister how to play piano. Du Du doesn’t need to worry.”
Du Du’s shiny round eyes blinked.
“If that older sister likes mommy, and I also like mommy, then I will like older sister as well.”
His train of thought was easy and straightforward. The lady and the older sister were all kind to mommy, so he would be kind to them too.
Ye Fan pressed her forehead against Du Du’s, smiling.
“You’re so clever,” she said.”Later, when Du Du sits between mommy and the little sister, do you want mommy to hug you?”
Du Du smiled, “Okay.”
Ye Fan led him back to the piano’s side.
Yan Xiao Xiao was still playing piano. The piano’s sound rang throughout the entire house.
Ye Fan, holding Du Du’s hand, sat next to Yan Xiao Xiao. Being so close with Ye Fan, Du Du’s heart felt satisfied.
After Yan Xiao Xiao finished her piece, Du Du clapped his hand.
“Older sister, your playing is beautiful!”
Ye Fan smiled at Du Du.
Children’s emotions left as quickly as they’d come.
Ye Fan also praised her.
“Xiao Xiao, you’ve improved a lot.”
Yan Xiao Xiao felt embarrassed.
“If you practice a few more times and become more familiar, I’m sure you’ll pass the exam,” Ye Fan said.
Yan Xiao Xiao smiled happily.
“Really? Then I’ll work really hard!”
After Yan Xiao Xiao practiced for a while longer, Ye Fan told her to go rest for a while.
Du Du laid on Ye Fan’s lap. Seeing the candy on the table, he remembered that the aunty had brought them in earlier.
He stood up, ran over to the table, and grabbed a few pieces of candy.
Then, he quickly ran over to Yan Xiao Xiao’s side.
Du Du raised his head, stretching his hand upward.
“Older sister, eat some candy!”
Yan Xiao Xiao was surprised.
Then, a smile formed on her face as she accepted the candy.
“Thank you, Du Du.”
He took the left over candy and ran back and leapt into Ye Fan’s arms.
The rest of the candy in Du Du’s hand was handed over to Ye Fan, as he quietly said to her: “The candy is good, mommy should have it.”
Ye Fan took the candy, holding his soft body tightly.
Her heart felt sweeter than the candy.
After piano lessons, Ye Fan took Du Du home. For the next couple of days, Du Du would insist on coming to Xiao Xiao’s house to play, and so Ye Fan would frequently take him over to Cheng Ping’s house.
Cheng Ping adored the small child. She told Ye Fan to bring Du Du over to play if she was ever busy.
With the broadcasting of “Let’s Go Traveling”, Ye Fan’s outstanding performance on the show made her even more popular.
As a gold broker in the industry, Dai Jinshan had indeed not judged the person wrong.
Previously, the directors and program crew had made things more difficult. If any other actress encountered this situation, they would’ve panicked.
They would only rush around holding the script, unable to handle the poor image, not to mention even trying to reverse the situation.
But Ye Fan was different. She handled things coolly. Out of so many artists Dai Jinshan had taken care of, not one had as good of a mentality as her.
After this storm passed, Dai Jinshan knew that Ye Fan’s future would only grow better.
