Daily Life of a Villain’s Mother - Chapter 91
Chapter 91: He Han Has Come For Ye Fan (1)
Du Du followed Mother Li to the children’s dining hall. Ever since she had appeared, his heart had been pounding loudly, scared that she would discover that he had spoken to a stranger.
She put him on the children’s dining chair, placing a small bowl on the table in front.
“Du Du,” Mother Li called.
He immediately lowered his head, his round eyes stretched wide, too scared to even blink. He thought she had finally found out.
Du Du looked like a traumatized little hamster.
Mother Li pushed the bowl closer to him. “The dishes aren’t hot anymore, you can eat them now, Du Du.”
He softly released a breath of relief. Without any word from her, he took the spoon and scooped a spoonful of rice before putting it into his mouth.
Although his movements were clumsy, he still firmly held onto his spoon. Before Ye Fan had come, Du Du had always had someone else feed him.
After going through Ye Fan’s training, he could eat by himself without relying on others.
She refused to spoil him. She allowed him to indulge in whatever he wanted, but she was bent on improving his independence.
WIth his bulging mouth, and the way his cheeks moved when he was chewing, Du Du looked like a little hamster eating, especially one of those chubby ones.
Mother Li continuously reminded him to eat slower, making sure to not choke.
After he finished eating, she prepared to take him home.
He quickly held onto her hand. “Grandmother, you forgot. We were going to give mom a gift.
Du Du looked somewhat anxious, worried he wouldn’t be able to give the drawing he personally drew to Ye Fan.
Mother Li only remembered after his reminder.
“Du Du, you’re so smart! Thank you for reminding me, or else I would’ve forgotten.”
Mother Li loved him as a grandson of her own. She only saw good in Du Du and nothing else.
He tightly hugged her neck, smiling widely and exposing a row of neat small teeth. The dimples on the side of his face also became more obvious.
“When it’s about mother, I will always remember.”
His words came naturally, making him appear even cuter.
She went to the store to buy Du Du a few types of paint brushes. Once home, he was unable to sleep after insisting on finishing his drawing before he slept.
Most kids at his age would be unable to sit still for so long, running around rambunctiously after a while.
But to finish Ye Fan’s gift, he quietly sat still at his desk for a long time. He clutched his paintbrush awkwardly, drawing on the blank page.
What was originally a blank page was now covered in many colors.
Since his grip on the paintbrush was not strong, the lines he made on the paper were crooked and skewed, but it was easy to see the paper was filled with love for his mother.
……
The next day, Ye Fan returned from Austria.
As soon as she returned, she received a call to head to her company building.
Dai Jinshan reassured her that after “Let’s Go Traveling” broadcasted this time, his team would edit the program to control public opinions that were attacking the program.
Her performance in the program was exceptional and once it aired, she was sure to gain fans.
After she exited the building, she immediately went home without any delay. She hadn’t seen Du Du for a long time.
Ye Fan opened the door, noticing how the room was quiet and peaceful. Perhaps he was still taking his afternoon nap.
Since she wasn’t sure of what time she’d get back home, she never told Mother Li a definitive time.
She took off her shoes at the entrance and walked in.
Just as she raised her head, she noticed that the door from ahead that had been closed was now open. Mother Li had walked out as soon as she heard movement from the front door.
A little while later, a small figure appeared behind.
Du Du’s hand pressed on the door frame, a face of surprise as he watched Ye Fan.
He had just dreamt about Mom, but he didn’t expect her to appear just as he woke up.
Next thing he knew, his eyes had been filled with tears as he let out a wail and began to cry.
He began running towards Ye Fan.
She placed her things down and quickly drew in Du Du’s small body as he flung himself towards her.
When his soft body leaned onto Ye Fan’s body, she finally felt that her heart which had been dried up in the past few days had finally been filled.
His cries were filled with sadness, the tears dripping onto her clothes, his entire face covered in tears.
