Master Meow - Chapter 11 - Keeping a Pet was Troublesome
Chapter 11: Keeping a Pet was Troublesome
Having pets was really troublesome for Wells. He grunted impatiently, then he grabbed her by the neck and threw her directly to the big fish.
The big fish’s tail was still flicking on the tray. Its body twitched, and some blood could be seen from the internal organs that had been cut open.
Lu Qiu thought that the cat was trying to feed her.
This cat’s IQ is quite high.
Unfortunately, eating raw meat was what she hated the most. She used to never eat any raw food, whether it was fish or other seafood.
The fishy smell was not that heavy, but it was too close that she could smell it.
Lu Qiu glanced at the legs of the giant cat, who was still standing next to her, from the corner of her eye. She quietly moved to another side trying to avoid the fish, and walked towards the fruit next to it.
Wells saw that she still didn’t want to eat nor did she plan to run away. He suddenly lifted the tail that had been circling around his feet and the huge tail brought a gust of wind that messed up Lu Qiu’s hair.
The tail swept sideways impatiently.
Lu Qiu’s eyes involuntarily turned to his swaying tail. She was still a little scared, but looking at such a big, thick, and cute furry tail really makes people lose control of themselves.
When the giant cat caught her with his large and soft paws, the fluff caressed her skin ever so softly that she didn’t even feel the touch.
Such a pity.
Seeing Wells being impatient, Ruth whispered, “My Lord, her claws and teeth have degenerated. It was harmless. She might not be able to bite such a big fish, so you have to cut it into small pieces.”
Wells’ tail swayed even more and indifferently showed his paws to Lu Qiu. Above the pink squishy pad were long and sharp claws, and they were emitting an extremely dangerous atmosphere. Although it was troublesome, he still cut the fish for Lu Qiu.
At that critical moment, Lu Qiu exerted her potential. She rushed back to the other plate, away from the fish dish, and tried to climb over the raised edge of the tray.
With his claws, Wells selected and separated out a few pieces of fish which seemed thin and even to him.
His impatient face finally regained some joy. He extended his claws to pick the fish, shredded it into slices, and put the sliced strips of fish back to the tray.
Lu Qiu was about to climb out of the tray over there when Wells licked his paw and pulled her back in front of the fish fillet again.
She really wanted to cry without tears. At the same time, she discovered that these two giant beasts really had no intention of killing or being malicious to her.
Until now, she was not able to find any traces of humans here. It was too big here, and she would need a lot of time in order to run.
She looked at the fish strips and summoned the courage to look up at Wells. She thought that the cat seemed to be able to communicate.
She pointed her finger at the fish and shook her head to show that she did not want to eat it, and then moved slowly to the other side of the fruit plate.
Wells didn’t catch her signal and just watched her move to where the fruit was.
Lu Qiu looked at the fruit which looked like a grapefruit, reached out, and touched it with her fingers. It was as hard as the wall. Going to the other side, the chestnut-like fruit was just the right size for her.
However, even after holding the fruit and twisting it for a long time, she still failed to open it.
Ruth couldn’t stand still anymore and pushed Wells from behind.
Wells finally reached out with his claws. With a gentle touch, the fruit split apart. The grapefruit-like fruit’s peel was also cut, revealing its honey-like color flesh and juice inside.
It was not a grapefruit. The flesh was sweet and crisp, a bit like a pear and a bit like a watermelon, sweet and nourishing.
Lu Qiu sat at the edge of the fruit bowl and took a bite from the fruit. She looked up and saw that the giant cat just looked down at her and did nothing else.
She didn’t know why, but for a moment, a very subtle feeling appeared in Lu Qiu’s heart.

In chapter 9, the steward was introduced as Simon, but it was supposed to be Ruth. So, Wells only has a steward named Ruth from now on. I’m sorry for the confusion.
