These remarks of hers were quite generous and pretty decent for a provoking statement. There was no hint of dissatisfaction nor displeasure in her face. She was originally the female lead for this movie, but now that the director proposed a trial play, it was very obvious that he was not satisfied with her for the Xiao Qi’s role. He wanted to replace her and even embarrass her.

Moreover, Gu Yuanyuan caught the attention of Director Xu and was well-liked by him. He even asked her to try out the trial play for the female lead role. Objectively speaking, this behavior of hers was considered as‘stealing’.

Director Xu Bai asked the assistant to take out the printed scripts for the trial scenes and then handed them each to the two participants. Lu Wenchen cast a look at it and said with a simple tone, “Director Xu, would you mind if I choose someone to try out these trial scenes?”
