The Duchess and the Devil - Chapter 77.1
Derrick was confused by her words, not knowing if Judith really wanted a hug or something more. Realizing the situation, the demon climbed onto the bed and placed his strong hand under her head. The Duchess immediately buried her face in her broad chest. The distance between the spouses decreased, which is why they could hear each other’s heartbeat.
– Why did you wake up?
– I have nightmares.
Derrick understood perfectly well that these were just hallucinations caused by Hannibal. But the demon tried not to show it and not to injure his wife even more.
– What nightmares? – he asked, smoothing his silver hair with his fingers.
– Nightmares in which red eyes haunt me.
-Are you that afraid of them?
– This… It’s a strange feeling. I react as if my body is not mine at all.
Now Judith’s heart was fluttering, and the high body temperature spoke of the anxiety that the Duchess felt next to the demons. And in fact it was very ironic, because in reality she felt extremely calm around Derrick.
Derrick was silent for a moment and then spoke about what had happened during the day, the situation with Marquise and the discovery of Lucas. While the demon explained all this in detail, his hand did not stop stroking Judith’s hair.
– This is not a curse, but magic…
Based on the story, Judith was able to conclude that this was not very good either. The Duchess lowered her hand and touched her lower abdomen, where she still felt nothing.
“If this continues, the child will struggle too.”
Every time Judith’s hallucinations overtook her, she instinctively curled up into a ball to protect the child who was now growing inside her. And this situation was terribly painful.
“I think I heard these words when I was hallucinating.”
– Which?
“Now I know what I’m afraid of…
Lips torn to the ears, a terrible smiling face that turned into Sylvia and Vincent. Out of fear, Judith covered her face with her hands, so as not to remember anything like that again. Such a bizarre scene made Derrick worry.
– What are you afraid of? – he asked firmly.
Hannibal understood the Duchess’s weak point. And Derrick was simply obliged to find out the same. But the Duchess looked around, as if she was afraid of the presence of a demon who listened to her every word. Suppressing paranoia, she said:
– That my brother is involved in this.
The life of Sylvia, who was her husband’s mistress, did not bother Judith at all. But after the death of her parents, the Duchess only had a brother. The only blood relative. And the realization that he was now dead haunted him. After all, then Judith was left completely alone in this world.
– Loneliness.
If Vincent was no longer alive, the Lipis family would no longer exist. Now Judith herself bears a friend’s surname – Duke. And no one in this world will preserve this memory.
– I hate…
Derrick kissed her forehead. He couldn’t say anything now, because they still didn’t know who Hannibal really was. Touching Judith’s stomach, the demon tried to calm her down.
Sometimes one action is stronger than a hundred words. At least Derrick clearly conveyed his intention to be there and protect. The demon’s lips slid across the forehead, weightlessly touching the eyelids, cheeks and finally reaching the lips. The exciting kiss gradually became hotter.
Having crushed the duchess under him, Derrick kissed her greedily, moving his tongue more intensely with each passing moment. Sweet breath filled his mouth.
“Ha…” the spouses’ tongues were entangled like vines, caressing each other.
When Judith wanted to turn away, the demon held her chin, preventing her from finishing the kiss. At first it was something light and weightless, but the smell of the Duchess always made carnal desires take precedence over reason.
However, Judith has been feeling terrible these past few days. And Derrick did not want to traumatize his wife even more. Having made an effort, the demon decided to stop there and tried to pull away, but she immediately pulled him back to her.
– Your condition…
– Just a kiss. Just kiss me one more time.
Judith wanted to calm her upset heart in this way. Now, unlike last time, the demon was slow and sensual. A hot tongue slid lower, touching her neck as Derrick buried his nose in it, inhaling the smell.
No matter how hard he tried, he just couldn’t go any further. Inside the demon, his conscience was gnawing at him. So Derrick tried to satisfy his hunger with a sweet aroma.
